The printer makes it unique
Each ticket gets its own ticket ID, race identifier, and duck number when it comes off the thermal printer.

Those details become a fingerprint
The printer combines the details into a SHA-256 fingerprint and tucks everything into the QR link.

Your browser checks the match
After a scan, this page calculates the fingerprint again. A match means the encoded ticket details are internally consistent.
One last important detail
The paper ticket still wins the day
A successful check confirms that the details in the QR link match their fingerprint. It doesn't register ownership or replace the original ticket. Bring that paper duck ticket with you; Salida Sunrise Rotary makes the final call on race results and prizes.
